EPIC: A South America multimedia journey

In late 2007, Quinten Williams was on the tail end of a two-year stint living in the Amazon basin of Peru working with the Xtreme Team, a group of individuals committed to living incarnationally and sharing Christ in the remotest regions of the Amazon jungle. At the same time, a photographer-turned-video producer based in Thailand was planning a trip to South America to do a short documentary on a ministry there.

The video was exciting. It portrayed graphically what is the heart of the commission Jesus gave to all who are a part of His Body, the Church. Those in Christ who are my age cannot undertake this kind of immersion into the needy cultures of our very complex world. Quinten and those with him have laid the challenge before the rest of us.

My son, a Senior Pastor of a church in the states, and his 23 year old son have gone into the mountains of Peru to do a similar kind of work among remote mountain villagers. Such work is hard but essential to the fulfillment of the commissioning of the church…go into ALL the world. May God bless the Xtreme Team program with outstanding success.
